Mirari Definition

Mirari is a Latin word that means "to wonder at" or "to be amazed". It is also the origin of the English words "miracle", "admire", and "marvel". It’s also where we get the word mirror from.

To me, this word means so much. When we find ourselves grieving after a major loss, we tend to lose who we are. Often, the hope for any kind of a happy future is diminished. We get so lost in all the chaos, complications, and confusion around us that we forget how to love and take care of ourselves. Our relationships tend to suffer. We feel misunderstood and isolated.

For twins who have lost their twins, this experience is compounded in ways that are almost impossible to describe.

I chose the name Mirari because it symbolizes the journey of moving forward by honoring ourselves and those we've lost. By reflecting their legacy in our adaptive ways of living, we keep their memory alive and find strength in their inspiration.
